Dovilė Bagdonaitė (piano, Lithuania) is a graduate of the Detmold University of Music (Germany) and holds a Licentiate of Arts degree from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She also studied at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. She has gained extensive professional experience as a collaborative pianist while serving as a lecturer–accompanist at the Detmold University of Music (Germany), the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, and the Bronius Jonušas Music School in Vilnius.
Dovilė Bagdonaitė is a laureate of international competitions in Lithuania and abroad and has participated in masterclasses with many distinguished professors. She has built a substantial and stylistically diverse repertoire spanning various musical eras. The pianist has taken part in recordings for Lithuanian National Radio and Television as well as WDR in Cologne. She was the first in Lithuania to introduce Clara Schumann’s piano works to the country’s cultural community.
In Lithuania and internationally, she has collaborated with prominent soloists and ensembles, including the State Choir “Vilnius,” Opera Brass, Amber Brass, Lauryna Bendžiūnaitė, Stein Skjervold, Max Sommerhalder, Miroslav Petkov, Steven Mead, Huw Morgan, Jens Lindemann, Peter Moore, Ian Bousfield, and others.
Dovilė Bagdonaitė regularly presents chamber music programs with various soloists and especially enjoys performing with wind instrumentalists. She works at international competitions and masterclasses, performs at numerous festivals, and participates in international projects. Since 2013, she has served as a collaborative pianist (concertmaster) for the international project “Trakai Fanfare Week.”
