Apolinaras Dubauskas

Apolinaras Dubauskas (trumpet, Lithuania) is a jazz musician and composer actively performing in Lithuania and abroad with a variety of ensembles. His journey began with classical trumpet studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and later expanded into modern, conceptually rich jazz expression. He continued his studies at the University of Southern Denmark, focusing on improvisation and composition. Apolinaras is a laureate of multiple national and international competitions, including third prize at the Juozas Pakalnis Young Performers Competition and first prize at the Trumpet Talents competition in Tallinn.
He performs with the Vilnius JJAZZ Ensemble under the direction of Jievaras Jasinskis, with whom he premiered his original composition Two Faced. In 2024–2025, Apolinaras released his debut album, Eyes of Disguise. He has also performed with groups such as Uprising Tree, Melted Core, and Miško gyventojai, successfully participating in youth music competitions including Garažas, Platforma, and Loftas Novus. With his Danish quintet Labas Vakaras, he appeared at the Šiauliai Jazz Festival.
Other notable collaborations include the bands SNUS, Mood Sellers, and VaTaipVat. Apolinaras Dubauskas also performs with the Jens Ozmeck Quintet and the Camillo Jakobsen & Kacper Skolik Quartets.
