Andrius Dirmauskas<\/strong> (horn, Lithuania) is the principal horn of the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra (LNSO) and an active soloist and chamber musician. He studied at the Kaunas Juozas Naujalio Music Gymnasium, the University of Troms\u00f8 in Norway, and the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, where he earned his master\u2019s degree. He is a laureate of numerous national and international competitions.
\nAndrius performs with the LNSO wind quintet PhilBrass<\/em> and is also a member of the brass ensemble Brass Bravo<\/em>. He collaborates with the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra and other Lithuanian symphonic and chamber orchestras. Additionally, he actively participates in the Lithuanian National Philharmonic\u2019s educational programs.
\nIn 2024, Andrius released the album Lithuanian Composers\u2019 Works for Horn<\/em>\u2014the first CD dedicated to Lithuanian horn repertoire\u2014featuring Balys Dvarionas\u2019 Horn Concerto (with its score reconstructed by Dirmauskas) alongside solo works by Lithuanian composers. He performs at festivals such as Kristupo Festivalis<\/em>, Midsummer<\/em>, and Avanti<\/em>, and participates in chamber music ensembles, including the horn quartet Hornica<\/em> (A. Dirmauskas, E. Stanelis, A. Gerv\u0117, L. Dakinevi\u010dius), which has been recognized for its innovative repertoire.
